Beaumaris Castle

This unfinished masterpiece was built as part of the "iron ring" by Edward I to stamp his authority on the Welsh. Construction began in 1295 but was never completed, as money and supplies ran out before the fortifications reached their full height.

Snowdonia Mountains

The Snowdonia mountains are located on the North Wales mainland forming part of Snowdonia National Park. There are towns and villages to explore, as well as castles, gardens, and historic railways. And of course, there are plenty of hills, mountain paths and cycle routes for the energetic individuals.
